Caregiver/Certified Nurse Aide

At Special Care Nursing we realize that no two people are the same and that each client has specific needs of their own. Therefore, our supervisors in conjunction with our Caregiver/C.N.A./H.H.A will develop a program especially for your current needs, and as your needs change your program will change. We offer you flexibility, 4, 8, 12 or 24 hour care, one day per week or seven days per week. Our staff will work along with any other staff you may have in your home, i.e., home health physical therapy or a hospice nurse, to make sure that you receive the best possible care.

Some of the services that our Caregiver/C.N.A./H.H.A will provide:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, hair care and grooming
• Monitoring and reporting skin condition
• Assisting with toileting and monitoring elimination
• Assisting with ambulation and transfers
• Preparing meals, special diets and assisting with feeding
• Monitoring food and fluid intake
• Medication reminders
• Light Housekeeping
• Errands and doctor appointments
• Companionship
• Feeding and walking of any pets
• Weekends and holidays
• Respite for family caregivers
• Hourly - Care provided 4 hours to 24 hour a day
• Bath service - bathing, dressing, cleaning and preparation of a meal
• Live-in - 24 hour, around the clock care
• Coverage available 24 hours per day / 7 days per week
• Only a 5 hour minimum, no up front money, and no deposits
• Can cancel service anytime day or night

Sometimes all someone needs is a person in the home just to be there, afraid to be alone for fear of falling, companionship, someone who is a little confused or forgetful, just came home from the hospital and is weak needs some tender loving care (back rub, water, a tuck in). Prepare a light dinner maybe soup, sandwich and tea.

• A Caregiver/Homemaker/Companion provides non-skilled services
• Provides companionship and tender loving care
• Prepares meals, special diets and assists with feeding
• Assist to commode or bathroom
• Runs errands and doctor's appointments
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry
• Plant watering
• Feed and walk pets
• Read and help write letters
• Coverage available 24 hours per day / 7 days per week
• Live-in - 24 hour round the clock care
• Only a 5 hour minimum, no deposits, no upfront money
• Can cancel anytime day or night

All certified staff are required to have current:

• Certified nurse aide certificate or home health aide certificate
• Current TB and physical
• Current CPR card
• Immigration compliance
• Criminal background checks
• Finger printing

All employee's that work for Special Care Nursing are covered with the following insurances:

• Malpractice Insurance
• Worker's Compensation
• General Liability
• Bonding

Each employee has a criminal background check done and we check references.
