Care Management/Nursing Supervision
Our care managers and nursing supervisors are experts in geriatric care.
Our staff work with the family, doctor, and patient every step of the way
to ensure that they receive the best care possible.
Special Care Nursing works very closely with the family
be it locally or across the country. Rest assured that all is being taking care of.
Special Care Nursing services are available 24/7. giving the family
the assurance we are only a phone call away.
The care manager/nursing supervisor will develop a plan specific
to their loved one that takes into consideration the needs of both the client and family.
The care manager/nursing supervisor coordinate medical equipment,
hospital bed, oxygen, etc. in addition to special diets and medical appointments
and give feedback to the family.
A very important role the care manager/supervisor plays is making sure that
the caregiver coordinates activities for the client so they don't feel isolated.
They help the caregiver map out an area - where the hairdresser is, market, senior center,
library, movies, places to for lunch or dinner, etc. - things that the family would do, the caregiver will do. Companions buffer clients from isolation, a particular threat when are person suffers cognitive loss. Caregivers are the eyes and ears for both the care manager/supervisor and the family.
